Transcend RDF5 Reviews
First time using
Excellent work
Reliable & Great for Linux
I use my RDF5 to transfer music files (currently 72 GB) from my laptop to micro SD cards, so that I can access my music on other devices like MP3 players and low storage phones. It's been absolutely wonderful to have a card reader that I can just plug and go with Linux Mint XFCE 21.3, no more manually mounting readers and changing permissions. Speed wise its not the fastest, but being able to move 72 GB in ~14 minutes (using a Lexar Blue micro SD card) is perfectly acceptable for me. The card slots are not spring based, instead they're just simple push till it stops. While this isn't the nicest type of slot I did not find it to be too tight that it would scratch the card, unlike other card readers. I would happily recommend this card reader for anybody who just needs a reliable plug and go reader for a Linux computer.
