Great Value Paper for Satin Prints

This satin paper is definitely a good value for production, especially since this is one of the very few manufacturers who makes 17 rolls of satin at a value price. Compared to other manufacturers (Epson, Canon, Red River, etc.), this is $ to $ less due to the slightly lighter weight and thickness, but for smaller prints at the 17 width, it's the perfect size. If you're going for larger prints, then get something of at least 10 mil/230gsm/60 lb. or higher. This paper has been functioning similarly to the other satin papers I've used (HP Premium Satin and Red River UltraPro Satin 4.0) so the custom ICC profile I created for those work remarkably well for this paper. The surface has a light texture of what I like to call a sandy grain, and allows for a softer light cast to reflect off the paper. Like all other RC papers though, if there is white in the image next to a non-white area, there will be gloss differential, so spray/coat to allow an even reflection. However, with all benefits aside, there is a con to this. The roll that I received had an uneven surface texture that resembled like soggy skin all along the right edge, possibly due to the wrapping, although I've noticed the same uneven texture going in tens of feet into the roll, so it may be how the manufacturer handled the edge. So for borderless prints, this may be a put off.Other than that, I highly recommend this paper for production, proofs, and presentation for a great value.
