Get yardage and hole information on more than 40,000 international golf courses with the Approach S2 from Garmin. This GPS-supported golf watch gives you precise yardage distance to the front, back, and middle of greens. It tells you what hole number you are on and the par for that hole. For par 4 and 5 holes, the S2 provides layup and, if applicable, dogleg distances. Additionally, the S2 can measure your shot distance, so you'll know the exact yardage for shots from anywhere on the course.
The Approach S2 comes preloaded with more than 40,000 golf courses from around the world. To ensure your information is up to date and current, every S2 includes free lifetime course updates through CourseView Updater and Garmin Express—Garmin's free device-management software. Course updates are added up to four times a year.
Use the S2's digital scorecard to keep track of your performance throughout each golf round. The scorecard uses the stroke play (or medal play) scoring system. When you've finished golfing, you can use the included USB cradle to review all your saved scorecards on your Windows or Mac computer.
In addition to providing yardage and hole data, the Approach S2 works as a serviceable wristwatch. It provides the current time, date, and has an alarm. Additionally, the S2 is equipped with an odometer for tracking how far you've walked. It features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts up to 8 hours in GPS mode and up to 3 weeks in watch mode.
