Lowepro LP36876 overview

  • 1Description

A place for everything and everything in its place, is what the black Pro Runner RL x450 AW II Backpack from Lowepro is all about. The main compartment features padded, touch-fastening dividers for storing two Pro DSLR cameras with an attached 70-200mm 2.8 or 300mm lens, 5-6 extra lenses, one up to 300mm, Speedlights, and various accessories. Padded sleeves inside the front, zippered compartment holds an up to 15" laptop, 10" tablet, and a Wacom type tablet. Also inside this compartment is a zippered, clear-mesh pocket for cables, and related items. CradleFit construction suspends and protects your valuable gear from bumps and contact with the ground during transport.

At the bottom of the main compartment is a useful, removable accessory case for your hard drives, cords, and other small items. Numerous interior and exterior pockets accommodate a wide variety of gear, and help keep your backpack free of clutter and well organized. Compression straps with quick-release buckles on the front of the backpack are used for securing a pro-sized tripod. The YKK locking zippers function smoothly and have fabric pulls for easy opening.

Carry your RL x450 AW II Backpack with the padded grab handles located one on top, and one on the side. For comfort, the shoulder straps are adjustable, padded, contoured, and connect with an adjustable sternum strap. The added support provided by the removable, padded, waist belt helps make longer journeys less fatiguing. When not needed, the shoulder straps tuck behind the padded, mesh back panel. The mesh helps circulate air, cushions impacts, and wicks away moisture. Rolling over flat ground is made easy with the deploying trolley handle and built-in urethane wheels on the bottom of the pack. And should the elements turn nasty, simply deploy the built-in all weather cover, and rest secure knowing your valuable gear is well-protected.

    Lowepro LP36876 reviews

Pro Runner RL x450 AW II Backpack (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Camera Bag I am an amateur photographer with 3 camera bags: 1 backpack camera bag and 2 shoulder camera bags. However, I found that with the accumulation of equipment, I needed a camera bag that could hold all of my equipment because when I was photographing away from home, I never seemed to have what I needed. I spent several weeks checking out a variety of camera bags. My previous backpack camera bag was also a Lowepro and it has held up well, but it just didn't hold enough. When I discovered the rolling Lowepro, I knew this would satisfy my needs. I wasn't wrong. It has plenty of room for bodies, lenses, a flash and room left for other essentials. I like that my tripod fits neatly on the front or side. In addition, it has a rain cover built in. Besides the rolling ability, it is also a backpack and meets the airline requirements of a carry on bag. This camera bag is quality made with plenty of cushioning for your valuable equipment. If you think that you can fine it cheaper at an internet e-commerce company, just be careful because I read several reviews from people who bought and received knockoffs. With B &H, you can be assured that you will receive a genuine brand of whatever you purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for traveling with a lot of gear I own four Lowepro cases, and this is the best built one. I bought this case to haul a lot of camera gear while traveling. The handle and wheels make negotiating an airport easy. I can load the main compartment with one camera body, eight lenses, one 1.4x converter, a gps shoe mount unit, one compact and one full size flash, and a light meter. Layering lenses with pads between layers is the trick to get this much packed. This case is much too large to walk about once you reach your destination. I pack either my Lowepro 300 or 200 AW Prorunner in the suite case and use it for hiking with the lenses I will need that day. This gives me the most flexibility when making long trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro Runner RL x450 AW II Backpack (Black) by Lowepro As usual B&H provided the best pricing and customer service on my order. The Lowepro website as well as other websites selling this bag were MUCH MORE expensive than B&H Photo. (about $150(ish) MORE)! I've been a customer of B&H for 25+ years and can always count on them for the best pricing & customer service on my items. Thanks, B&H and thanks for this outstanding bag! IT'S AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZING!!!! Just what I needed for all of my expensive camera gear! Sturdy, easy to transport around and made extremely well. Great purchase! Get yourself one and don't worry about protecting and transporting your camera investment around!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a bag!! Super camera bag. Plenty of room for everything I need. I have 2 cameras, 4 lenses, 2x converter, video camera, chargers, batteries for all and so much more. Absolute dream camera bag. Airport compatible size. A plus to have the rollers. Well worth every penny spent. Very, very durable. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great flexible bag which holds a ton of stuff So I do a lot of mixed types of photography, the most challenging is medical (particularly in the OR), so I both need to bring a ton of stuff and keep it compact. This bag does that in spades. Bringing a ton of stuff is hard enough, without being able to organize it in some sane way; this bag provides nice organization and the advantage of rolling to be able to carry the weight. Facts you may want to know: 42.5 from the ground to the top of the handle Yes, it can carry a Macbook Pro 17 (barely) It is a bit of work to get the waist belt tucked in so that it doesn't hit the wheels, but not challenging to do so There is a rain cover you can pull out You can put TSA locks on the zippers and it will fit in the overhead compartment You can easily carry a large tripod within reason, and the little black cup is used to strap it onto the outside. You should watch the demo video, as it explains how this all goes together. I found that the Canon 7D with the battery grip on it is a tad tall to fit, but if you don't have a laptop it's fine (otherwise it does stick up a bit putting point pressure). Obviously put the longest lens on the camera when strapping it in (the elastic strap does move via velcro, as does everything else) The Little pouch inside is great for filters, spare lens caps, cables, etc Tons of internal pockets for memory cards, manuals, etc

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bag for rolling ... not carrying This bag is great for what it is ... a roller bag. The added weight and structure makes it not very comfortable to carry as a backpack. It is possible but you will not want to. Basically it's great for smooth surfaces and not so much with the outdoor settings. Saves your back a lot of weight, you just have to get used to the inconvenience of the outdoor settings. It can roll on grass and dirt, just keep it minimal so your wheels can last longer. I'm glad I bought it for saving my back, though I still need my smaller backpack when going into tall grass, forest trails, etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not deep enough can not accommodate my OMD EM5 Mark II or my Nikon 610D with battery grip attached. Center section is shallow due to the handle mechanism. The bag otherwise is excellent quality and seems to be versatile. Very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well constructed, Nicely designed...but too shallow for me I would love this roller but for one deal breaker. I shoot with multiple 1D series bodies and a gripped 5DIII. The bag is simply too shallow to fit them comfortabley. There is a padded ridge running up the center that takes away a fair amount of depth. I am returning this bag for a larger one. Otherwise the construction, flexibility, and overall quality of this bag is very nice. If you shoot with non gripped cameras or don't mind a squeeze, you will love the bag.
