Polsen XLR-USB-48 Reviews

Great preamp for my iPad

I have been in audio for over 30 years. The Polsen is a great preamp for my iPad rta microphone. I love that it has phantom power. My only complaint is that it is usb mini not usb c. For recording it is very transparent and hard to distort. Works with protools, AudioTools, and smart live. For the price I have not found anything better.

Great little USB interface with powerful features

I do lots of work meetings and somedays (lets face it, most days) I don't want coworkers looking at my face. I've had a condenser mic on a boom for years but not enough desktop space for my mixer. In comes the Polsen XLR USB interface and now I can cover my face while still being on cam for work meetings. They may see my eye rolls but they don't see the smirk. Packed with Phantom power (the spookiest power there is), headphone volume control and mic gain, this interface does all I need to get the job done. Thanks B&H!

Can you use this to connect a Rode Procaster (XLR) to a MabBook (USB)? Does it work properly?
Asked by: Tony
This is an affordable audio interface, that would allow the Rode Procaster microphone to be connected to a PC or MAC computer via USB. This unit offers plug-and-plyt operation and a headphone jack for monitoring from the microphone, and would work well with any microphone. .

The Polsen XLR-USB-48 XLR to USB Audio Interface would not be directly compatible with the AKAI MPC Live II; however, it could be connected to one of the outputs via a 3-pin XLR male to 1/4" TRS cable like the Pearstone PM Series 1/4" TRS Male to XLR Male Professional Interconnect Cable (1.5'), B&H # PEPMTRSXM1.5.

Why is the headphone output of the mic so low but the system audio normal?
Asked by: Greg
The headphones you are using with the XLR-USB-48 may require more power which can be achieved by using a headphone amplifier such as the Polsen HPA-4X2 (B&H # POHPA4X2) to provide more volume. You can find additional options for headphone amps listed under the "Accessories" tab.
