The variable color temperature Bee Plasma Flood Light from Hive Lighting is an open face-style lighting solution. Using a single unique plasma lamp (the micro-star), the Bee employs an innovative reflector system that achieves a 100-degree flood beam angle that fits optional square, rectangular and octagonal softboxes, photo umbrellas, and a traditional glass Fresnel lens, making it a tool for both motion and still image production. The Bee LEP (Light Emitting Plasma) light source is capable of producing 2x output of LED sources, 4x the brightness of fluorescents and 5x the power of incandescent sources, all from a single point source bulb. Its relatively light weight of 10 lb makes transport easy and setup and breakdown a snap.
