FotodioX EOS-NX-PRO-IRIS Reviews

NOT FOR EF-S

This adapter does NOT support the EF-S lenses. Nowhere on this items page does it say this so BE WARNED. the construction of this piece feels well made. Apart from the plastic that connects to the NX camera body, this appears top notch...wish B&H would have not dropped the ball on that little (HUGE) detail.

It works

Build quality is good. This is a handy adapter if you want to use Canon (EF) glass without manual iris control on the lens. We tend to use Rokinon cine primes mostly, so it's not absolutely required, but is handy to have when using stock canon glass.

question

Will this work for fitting canon lenses onto the Samsung NX mini?
Asked by: Caroline W.
Caroline,I don't think I can answer your question since I don;t have a mini. However, if you can find out if both use the same mount, then I would think so. Did you ask a BH salesman? I don't want to have you waste money so don't assume my hunch is right. checkout the specs on the mini. THX larry

question

There are issues reported on Amazon with this adapter on the NX-1 causing vignetting and inability to infinity focus. Since there are no reviews here I am concerned. Is this version updated to address those previous issues? Thanks.
Asked by: Steven S.
Yes, you basically need a variable ND filter to control light with canon EF lenses using this adapter. Aperture stays wide open no matter what. Manual focus is difficult without magnifying setting enabled and peaking.

question

will this mount adapter work with canon ef-m mirrorless lenses?
Asked by: Chris D.
Yes it works for canon, but the built in aperture blades causes some vignetting.
