Vidpro PD-1 Reviews
Good, but don't turn around.

This was one of the best things I invested in for hobby video. You can walk it forward and make turns as expected. The only concern is you can't stop and reverse directions, as the casters are offset. So if you reverse the direction, the base will swing around as the wheels re-orient, affecting the camera recording.
Simple and effective

How well do the 3" wheels on this dolly handle carpet?
It depends on the carpet. Ideally, you want a smooth, flat surface for tripod dollies. You are going to experience more resistance with thicker carpets.
