Microsoft RM-1075 Overview

The unlocked 8GB white Lumia 640 RM-1075 8GB Dual SIM Smartphone from Microsoft features a 5" display complete with an HD 1280 x 720 resolution and a pixel density of 294 ppi. The touchscreen IPS LCD display gives you complete control over all of your apps while the ambient light sensor adjusts the display to match the current lighting conditions. An integrated accelerometer adjusts the display to match the phones viewing position.

Inside the Lumia 640 you'll find a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM giving you the necessary processing power to run a variety of applications and games. Along with enhanced processing power, this smartphone includes 8GB internal storage memory suitable for downloading applications, storing pictures and videos, and much more. To extend your Lumia's memory, you benefit from up to 30GB of free OneDrive cloud storage as well as the ability to insert a microSDXC card for up to 128GB of extra storage space.

With a variety of connectivity options the Lumia 640 keeps you in the know wherever you go. This smartphone is compatible with select 2G, 3G, and LTE GSM networks. Along with the ability to connect to cellular data networks, you can also connect to 802.11 b/g/n compatible Wi-Fi networks while Bluetooth 4.0 technology makes it easy to connect wireless devices such as Bluetooth headsets.

To capture the world around you, the Lumia 640 Dual SIM is equipped with am 8.0-megapixel f/2.2 camera on the back and a 0.9MP f/2.4 camera facing front. The rear camera has a 28mm focal length and an LED flash. It sports an expansive 1/4" sensor for enhanced low-light photography.

GSM / Wireless LTE Wireless Connectivity
This phone is designed to work on select GSM networks and is 4G LTE capable. LTE is an advanced cellular network data protocol capable of data speeds so fast that they compete with wired broadband internet providers. With an LTE connection, this phone should have no problem streaming HD video, downloading apps, uploading photos, or anything else that requires a high-speed data connection. The phone is also backwards compatible with 3G and 2G data for instances when you can't get LTE. In addition to cellular wireless, this phone also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Windows Phone 8.1
This phone features the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system with Lumia Denim. Windows Phone 8.1 features a customizable home screen with resizable Live Tiles that update in real-time, making it easy to follow what's happening with your friends, family, apps, news, and social media sites. In addition to Live Tiles you can summon the help of Cortana, your digital assistant, to help you make calls, send texts, take notes, and more. The updated version of the Windows Phone operating system also features action center allowing you to see notifications as well as the ability to quickly turn on and off connections such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and more. You can also access Xbox Live, Xbox Music, and OneDrive cloud storage. If the built-in apps aren't enough, you can always install more through the Windows Phone Store, which has access to hundreds of thousands of apps, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more.

Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) allows you to lower your mobile costs when traveling while staying connected. Once your SIM cards are installed, you will be able to receive phone calls and text messages from either without needing to manually choose which one is active. When you want to make a call or send an SMS, you can use the toggle switch to select the correct SIM card. When one SIM card is being used for a phone call, the other will not be active until you hang up. Operator charges may apply.
5" IPS Display
The Lumia 640's 5" display has an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 and displays 16 million TrueColor colors (24 bit). It has a pixel density of 294 ppi and uses IPS (in-plane switching) technology. An orientation sensor changes the orientation of the screen when flipped and tactile feedback responds to touches. Lumia Color profile and sunlight readability enhancements allow you to comfortably use your Lumia in a wide variety of environments. Scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display from damage.
Navigation
Navigation applications found on the Lumia 640 Dual SIM include HERE Drive +, HERE Maps, and HERE Transit. These included navigation applications offer a variety of navigation features including the ability to pin places to the Start Screen, public transportation routing guidance, reveal the surrounding places, reviews, info and photos for places, routing options, the ability to save destinations, free maps, find upcoming departure times, see places through the camera viewfinder, live traffic information, automatic day/night view switching, venue maps, offline maps, online and offline favorites, speed limit warnings, free turn-by-turn walk navigation, save and sync favorites with HERE.com, and free regional guided turn-by-turn drive navigation.
Music and Audio
Included with the Lumia 640 is MixRadio. This music application brings free streamed mixes of music created to your personal taste with no subscription fee or advertising. Along with free streaming radio, the Lumia 640 can play FM radio and record AAC LC, AMR-NB, and GSM FR mono audio.
