MSI GS60 GHOST-607 Overview

The MSI GS60 Ghost-607 15.6" Gaming Laptop Computer is built with gaming and multimedia use in mind. The chassis features a bold design with a sleek aluminum black body kit.

The 15.6" widescreen Full HD eDP display features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1920 x 1080 native resolution powered by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M graphics card with 2GB of GDDR5 discrete memory. The display can play Full HD 1080p content natively without letterboxing.

The system is powered by a 5th generation Broadwell dual-core 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7-5700HQ processor. It also has 16GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, a 1TB 7200 rpm hard drive with a 128GB M.2 solid state drive, a multi-format media card reader, 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an integrated webcam, and microphone. There are also built-in quad speakers and a subwoofer.

Windows 8.1 is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click takes you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel, and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Windows 8.1 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.

Quad-Core 5th-Gen Broadwell Intel Core i7 Performance
The MSI GS60 houses a 5th-generation Broadwell Intel Core i7-5700HQ processor. Its quad cores can reach a stock speed of 2.7 GHz. The processor can also be overclocked up to 3.7 GHz, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The fifth generation Intel Core i7 processor uses less voltage than its predecessor for improved battery life, thanks to its 14nm process. With a dedicated 6MB L3 cache, 16GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, and Intel Hyper-Threading technology, you'll be multitasking between applications quickly and efficiently.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M Graphics
Built for an immersive gaming experience, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M arms you with industry-leading technologies including DirectX 11 support, dynamic PhysX effects, CUDA, and more. Based on NVIDIA's Maxwell GPU architecture, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M provides optimal performance per watt.
15.6" Full HD eDP Display
The 15.6" display features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution so you can play 1080p HD content natively in deep black levels and vibrant color.
MSI True Color Technology
MSI True Color technology provides multiple viewing modes, each precisely calibrated to deliver vibrant colors and sharp images. Gamer mode increases brightness for gaming. Anti-Blue mode reduces potential harmful blue light. sRGB mode sets the screen to 100% sRGB of color gamut. Designer mode increases clarity for lines and words. Office mode reduces eye-strain after long term use. Movie mode optimizes contrast for vivid movies.
Matrix Display
With Matrix Display technology, the MSI GS60 supports multiple external displays so you can multitask via HDMI and mini DisplayPort. Stream on Twitch or watch your favorite shows while playing your games.
SteelSeries Keyboard
Use the fully illuminated SteelSeries keyboard, which has tactile fast action keys, a strategic layout, and powerful customization capabilities. Modify the color, macro every key, and enhance the way you play with the SteelSeries Engine 3 app.
Nahimic Virtual Surround Sound
Originally developed for military fighter jets, Nahimic specializes in 3D sound software processing and audio improvements offering virtual 7.1 sound in immersive high definition. Designed to work with standard audio and stereo equipment, Nahimic transports gamers into the action, allowing them to sense every footstep, hear every bullet whizzing past, and feel every explosion. It also features a high definition audio recorder to easily capture and stream studio quality sound and is only available on MSI gaming laptops, including the MSI GS60.
Dynaudio Speakers
Fill the room and feel the bass with Dynaudio high fidelity speakers. Drop the beat or feel the thunderous roar of the battlefield with an integrated subwoofer. Get an extra boost in performance for your audio with built-in dedicated bass, speaker, and headset AMPs, gold plated for maximum audio transfer. Add dynamics and punch to every gunshot, explosion and gaming sound with surround effects, producing a realistic surround sound experience even from just a pair of headphones or stereo speakers.
Killer Gaming LAN
The benefit of the Killer Gaming LAN is the "Advanced Game Detect" technology, which recognizes online game data packs and processes them first, accelerating them in the process. You'll no longer have to deal stuttering characters, freeze-ups, and lagging, it vastly improves all the online experience.
Cooler Boost 3

Boot Directly to the Desktop

To the Cloud
With Windows 8.1, when signed in using your Microsoft account, you'll have instant access to your personal Start screen, themes, language preferences, browsing history, and browser favorites. You can also connect to services such as Microsoft Outlook, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and more

In the Windows Store, you can search for or browse thousands of apps. Choose from the featured apps or grab one of the most frequently downloaded apps to see what all the hype is all about. You can also see how other people rate apps. For certain apps, you can try it out before you purchase it.
