Sporting a fixed frequency of 521.85 MHz, the Galaxy Audio AS-900N4 Any Spot Series Wireless Personal Monitoring System is a single-channel, UHF frequency system that includes the AS-900T Transmitter and the AS-900R Bodypack Receiver. This fixed-frequency system allows the wireless transmission of audio signal in either mono or stereo formats at a range of up to 150' feet, thereby permitting musicians, singers, and lecturers to perform without significant tethers to cabled systems.
The receiver gives you an audio output level of 100mW, featuring a standard 3.5mm (1/8") headphone jack. It's powered by two AA batteries and can last up to five hours. The transmitter, on the other hand, provides an L/R level display, two XLR/1/4" combo jack for its inputs, a stereo / mono switch, and headphone output with volume control. The transmitter also includes a single rackmount kit for mounting 1 unit in 1 rack space.
The AS-900 Wireless System has features which help eliminate extraneous stage noise, aid in the protection from hearing damage, and limits on-stage feedback, thereby permitting you to move around the stage or audience all while hearing the monitor mix. As such, this system can mitigate the need for bulky floor wedges, as well as the amplifiers that power them. The system comes with a set of EB4 earbuds.
