Antari HZ-500 Overview

Enhance your light shows and laser beam effects with the HZ-500 Hazer from Antari Fog Machine. Enclosed in a flightcase with a wide top opening, the HZ-500 is designed to quickly fill larger spaces with fine, translucent haze. The HZ-500 offers a 0.6 gallon tank, low fluid consumption at 1.1 mL per minute, and silent operation. It can be controlled via DMX, via a compatible remote (available separately), or directly by using the control panel.

Note:
Only use Antari HLZ Oil-Based Haze liquid for the HZ-500 to avoid machine failure and malfunction. Your warranty will be voided if any other type of liquid is used. (HZL-W Water-Based Haze is also compatible with this model). Do not mix water-based and oil-based haze fluids. Empty completely each type of fluid before using a different type.

Important: Never mix oil-based and water-based hazer liquids. Before switching the kind of haze liquid in use, completely drain the hazer's tank to avoid mixing.

Rediculously good hazer. Solved many problems.

I bought this hazer as an Upgrade from a Martin JEM Hazer Pro.  That unit was so cloudy, wouldnt spread thin, and looked more like fog than haze.  So.... I made the switch to this unit. I was ready for the switch oil based haze, but I was stoked to find out this unit would use water OR oil based Antari fluids.  This machine is awesome. No more clouds, no more thickness... and it hangs FOREVER!  My favorite part, is you can hardly see it at all when normal house lights are on... but man does it illuminate beams and spots! It is super quiet, and my favorite part... NO WARM UP TIME!  I do have 2 complaint....but they are minor.  1.) The DMX control has no volume adjustment. It is either on... or off.  2.) The output nozzle shoots directly up... not out or to the side... so be ready to have your fan setup on standby.

Anyone know how to drain the fluid tank? We are fixing to switch to an oil-based fluid, but have a lot of water-based still in the tank.
