Emerson Knives and Zero Tolerance collaborated to create the 0620CF Folding Knife. This knife features a straight edge tanto style blade design that was originally intended for self-defense but is also well-suited to more mundane tasks. CTS-204P powdered steel was chosen for construction because of its ability to take a very sharp edge, wear resistance for superior edge retention, toughness, and polish-ability.
The 0620CF features Emerson's patented "Wave" opening system that employs a wave-shaped tab on the blade's spine that catches on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out so the blade is fully open and ready for use without the user having to do anything more than draw it. This automatic deployment is ideal for first responders, search & rescue, or law-enforcement and military personnel who require immediate access to their blade when every second is critical. As an alternative to this deployment function is an ambidextrous thumb disk on the spine.
To help keep the knife light, carbon fiber was used for the front scale of the handle. This material also has the benefit of offering resistance to heat and cold. A pocket clip can be reversed for left or right-hand carry, keeping the tip up at the ready. Its 4.9" length will fit comfortably in most pockets, making it a solid choice for everyday carry.
