Designed in collaboration with knife designer/maker Rick Hinderer, Kershaw's titanium finished Cryo Folding Knife with drop point blade, is as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as it is comfortable in the hand. It has the SpeedSafe assisted opening system with thumbstuds and flipper ridges on the blade's spine to enable the folding blade to quickly and easily move out of the handle. When the blade is fully open, a frame lock moves into place to keep it in position for safe use. To close the blade, simply move the lock to the side and fold it shut. The locking bar features Hinderer's stabilizer that prevents accidental over-travel during closing.
The Cryo features a 2.75" full-edged 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade, and a durable and corrosion-resistant 410 stainless steel handle. A titanium carbo-nitride ceramic coating is applied to both the handle and blade to harden and protect all of the surfaces while giving the entire knife a refined and elegant appearance. Its four-way clip is designed to allow the user to set it in the optimal position for their need or preference - left or right hand draw, tip up or tip down - with a discreet deep-carry design. Rick's experience as a first-responder inspired the creation of this small, lightweight EDC cutting tool that is tough enough to handle daily use.
