The Concept One 628M OH4.5V Aluminum Tripod with Ball Head from Cullmann is a unique tripod support with a removable center column that converts to a monopod. The tripod can hold up to 15.4 lb, extends to 74", and weighs 5.8 lb. With the included short center column in place, the tripod can get to a minimum height of just 10.6". The 4-section legs have twist locks to adjust their height, and each leg has a foam grip for added comfort. The rubber feet are replaceable with included stainless steel spikes so that the tripod remains stable on a variety of different surfaces.
The included OH4.5V is an Arca-type compatible hybrid photo/video ball head. When using the head in video mode, the ball is locked in place so it will only tilt on a front-to-back axis and pan 360°. A large knob locks and unlocks the ball, while a smaller knob controls the 360° panning, and a separate knob adjusts the friction. The video knob allows the ball to be locked into place, preventing it from tilting off-axis so that you can get straight tilts when shooting video. A long pan handle can be easily attached to ensure smooth movements, and an Arca-type compatible quick release plate is included to facilitate fast camera attachment.
