Needed this connector to make a new run for a stationary mic. I did not want to plug an extension cord and have a connection to worry about. I was nervous about the size but it is well made and took the heat of soldering the connections not only once but twice. The first attempt I melted the jacket on the cable and made a mess but the second attempt went better. The body of the connector was not affected by the heat.
