Yamaha HPH-50 Reviews
Good 'phones for the price
Wide, reasonably smooth frequency response. I found they needed very little EQ. Clean highs and none of the gritty midrange of some other inexpensive headphones. Don't get brutal with the wires and they'll be fine. For $35 they are a winner.
Don't buy them
I read numerous great reviews for these headphones and waited until they were back in stock to buy them. When I received them I was astonished at the thin little wires, cheap plastic construction, and bad sound quality. Sure, they are cheap, but they sound and look even cheaper. I only kept them as backup phones for if I need an extra pair while recording. They are certainly not good for evaluating music and look like they will come apart if handled very much. I do not recommend them.
