Have everything you need to mount an off-camera flash or accessory to a tripod, stand, or bar with the Manfrotto 244 Micro Friction Arm Kit. Both ends of the friction arm feature a 3/8"-stud; one end is fitted with 1/4 “ -20 threaded adapter, which can be screwed into the included Nano Clamp, while the other side has the Manfrotto Anti-Rotation Adapter, which can be used on any Manfrotto tripod that has an Easy Link connection. The Micro Friction Arm can hold up to 6.6 pounds, and the end adapters can be easily installed or removed using the included hex key.

Same as other clamps by tightening the handle the clamps get closer and create a grip

Is the clamp big enough to attach to the legs of a RRS tripod? Legs have a 5 circumference.
This spec is listed when you look up the Nano Clamp by itself:Clamping Range 0.5-1.37 (13-35mm)So with a 5 circumference being a 1.59 diameter, the clamp will be too small.

Does this work with a Sony @6000?
This item is generally meant to attach (screw or clamp)to a tripod or object in order to hold lighting, flashes and accessories. You can purchase a number of accessories for this item that will allow you to hold a multitude of additional objects. One such item is a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter that which should fit the standard 1/4 mount thread found on most cameras. In any case I found this item to be great buy and a fine addition to any camera bag!
