I bought to mount the SkyWatcher Virtuoso telescope as a tripod for my SLR is totally inadequate for the mass and size of the 'scope and mount. This work great. It is light weight and small when collapsed. The bubble level makes it easy to setup. After going thru the setup for the 'scope, the 'scope mount tracks perfectly for viewing purposes. I have tried any astrophotography. so I can't comment on how it works for that. While not as rigid as a pier, this is a good portable solution. It arrived on time and in good condition. Would buy it a again for the same purpose. For someone wanting to use it for normal photography, a ball head or similar mount will be required.

I'm very happy with this tripod. I love the twist release on the legs. My previous tripod had the flip locks which I didn't like and constantly pinched my fingers. The center column is smooth and the large knuckle is easy and efficient to use. It's light enough to be portable but sturdy and solid. I would recommend.

This tripod with a head attached GD3WH can be placed in a bag, what comes with the kit?
The Benro TMA27A Tripod includes a tripod bag, strap, allen key for leg joint tensioning, a flat wrench for the tripod head screw nut, and 3 spikes for the feet. The case can fit with typicall ballheads, however the handles protruding slightly from the Benro GD3WH Geared Head may prevent it from fitting in the case together. Hope this helps.

Does this tripod legs comes with padded bag which has room for head?
No, it does not. According to Benro, cases included with tripod legs by themselves are only designed to support the tripod legs, and will not fit a tripod with a head mounted. Benro tripods sold with heads as a kit would already allow for the additional length of the head. As the Benro TMA27A Series 2 Mach3 Aluminum Tripod, B&H # BETMA27A MFR # TMA27A, listed above does not include a head, and as such, the included case would not fit a head; it would fit the tripod only. Benro states the included case's dimensions are 4.33 x 4.33 x 30.30 in in size.
