Benro MAD49C Overview

Whether shooting with a long telephoto, in low-light conditions, or moving too fast to set up a tripod, the MAD49C Adventure Series 4 Carbon Fiber Monopod from Benro is a versatile shooting companion.

This support reaches a height of 72.0", closes down to 20.7", and supports 39.7 lb. Lightweight at just 1.37 lb, you'll barely know you're carrying it. Opening and closing the 5 sections is quick and easy with the flip lever lock design, and a pivoting rubber foot prevents unwanted slipping.

The closed foam grip gives you a secure hold on the monopod and also insulates your hands from the carbon Fiber on cold days. The mounting plate features a reversible 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mount for mounting a head or attaching directly to a camera.

Benro MAD49C Reviews

It works!

Benro's products are usually quite superb and this one fits that bill. I bought this to replace a different product of theirs that unfortunately wasn't. It's quite strong and lightweight, not wobbly, and the finish is wonderful. The flip-locks lock up good and tight, and are adjustable in case that changes. Also, I really like that you can change the deck (if you have spares) and flip the mounting screw between 1/4 and 3/8. Also, being 6'5, the height of this monopod is amazing; with a gimbal head on top, my camera can sit higher than my eyes, which is great for subjects in the air or high up. The only gripe, which will go away in time, is that the foot is loud and squeaky; for now, I've been using a few drops of oil on it every time I go out to keep it quiet.

After having a Benro C38F that was great to work with for 9year. I finally wore out a few parts . The new Benro MAD49Cis beefier and extents higher. It work okay but sticks some time when extending

The Oben VH-A30 Tilt Head for Monopods, B&H # OBVHA30 MFR # VH-A30, would be a good optional head for the Benro MAD49C Adventure Series 4 Carbon Fiber Monopod.

question

Will the 3 feet from benro attach to this tripod?
Asked by: Scott
If your talking about the item B&H # BEVT2 MFR # VT2, then yes. I purchased that one recently from B&H and it fits fine. I would just be careful and not exceed the weight limit for the legs or even let go of it when there is too much wind or anything, it's no tripod. I haven't tested it to it's max or anything, just my opinion on it. I'm ok with my purchase of it though for my purposes, and for it's cost, I'm glad I bought it.
