Why the Load Capacity of 5.5 lb.? This is just about the weight of my usual kit - Nikon D500 w. 80-400mm lens. Should I look for a more robust unit?
I have no problem supporting 7 Lbs of Canon gear (5DMk4 with 100-400Lens) on a monopod.

hello , I don't know the full standard, but it seems the answer is yes. I have tried two or three different arca plates of different lenghts from different manufacturers, so far all good.
