    Induro BHL3S reviews

BHL3S Ball Head is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built Like a Tank I paired this head with the Induro 8M 413 legs and have been really impressed by how rock-solid everything is. I really like how the clamp will not fully release the mounting plate until you pull the adjustment knob out and further loosen it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Solid Unit I'm still working with this unit and a bit undecided to overall performance. I spent a lot of time reviewing about 7 ball heads and all have certain positives. In the end I found this one design wise more to my liking. However, I'm mixed about the top plate itself. On the surface it looked like a double safety measure with regard to the clamp release method. But after backing the knob out to the end of the travel there were 2 small ball pen type springs that could find their way out if the plate clamp was rotated slightly. I'm sure it is just a cautionary measure not to back the knob out too far. But, in the dark while in the field before sunrise I'm on autopilot and need things to remain intact. I would think simply placing a spring around the main clamp knob would be a better design to prevent loss of the spring. Or, if that was not an option maybe placing slender pins on the end of the clamp plate that would not allow the 2 springs to jettison out on their own. Other then that the unit seems rock solid at this point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Unit To Date I've owned several ball-heads over the last 30 years and this one is excellent. It is especially useful doing double duty with a RB67 ProSD and Wista DXIII 4x5. Once the locking knob is locked there is NO movement or creep of the ball. A must when using the macro setup on the heavy RB67.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good head I chose this head to go with the Induro CLT104 and I find it works very well indeed. It may be little large for that tripod, but I am extremely happy with how easy it is to use and the smoothness in which it moves.
