    Induro Stealth Reviews

CLT104 Classic Series 1 Stealth Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love love love this Tripod! This is a sturdy tripod that has a decent load capacity yet light enough for hiking and traveling. I have already used it at the beach and yes got a little sand in the legs, but I was able to clean them out with no problems and it's good as new. I upgraded from an Oben which I was never really happy with, I wish I would of bought this one first! The short and sweet is, that this is a good quality tripod that you won't be sorry you purchased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every Inch a Winner I am 80 years old and not as strong as I used to be. Don't hike, but do park and walk. This tripod is EZ to carry, sturdy and extending the legs is a breeze. It holds a lot of weight for the bucks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for your money Light and sturdy. Only thing I would say is if you get this tripod then be sure to first tighten all the bottom rubber boots and weight hook. I was shooting in death valley in Badwater and was luck to find my weight hook for the center column. All in all its a great product but please tighten all the removable parts on the tripod before taking it out on the field. Did multiple long exposure with little wind and it was absolutely rock solid. I have added couple of long exposure images that were taken this past weekend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile Tripod For the past 3 years I have used and traveled with the Induro CT314, which I absolutely love; however, its size requires that I removed the head and disassemble the legs to fit it in a carry on bag and its weight (about 7-8lbs with head) precludes it from bringing it along on hikes over 3 or so miles. This brings me to the CLT104, I wanted a quality tripod that I can pack in a carry on bag without extensive disassembly, easily manage on longer hikes, and extends to a reasonable height for me (I am 6') without extending the center column. On paper the CLT104 fit the bill. I recently put the CLT104 to the test on a trip to Yosemite. Over all it performed well, but it does have some noticeable issues. When placed on level ground it is sturdy and sets up to a reasonable height. However, I often found when setting up the tripod on uneven surfaces (i.e. on a large slope, or with one or two legs on a tall boulder and the other leg on the ground) the legs were not long enough, which required more creative setups. Additionally when setting up in packed snow using the included spikes I noticed significant flex in the smallest leg joint. Furthermore, when using focal lengths over 135mm or so one must use extreme care to minimize vibration. When mounting the 5D3 + 70-200 f/4 to the CLT104 + BHL2 I had to wait at least 5s for the vibration to settle down, then use mirror lockup and remote shutter to get sharp results. I setup with and without attaching my backpack to the center column hook and actually had better results without it. With the CT314 I also take these measures to reduce vibration, but prior to letting the setup settle down, the vibration is significantly less. For all the shortcomings that I mentioned, for situations that limit the size and weight of the tripod, I am grateful to have the CLT104 to bring along with me as it is leaps and bounds better than my previous lightweight travel tripod (SIRUI T-1005X), but anytime I can manage the CT314, that will still be my go to tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tripod! I was looking for a light weight tripod for hiking and traveling and WOW did I find it. The compact size is perfect for those days hikes. It's extremely sturdy for its size and gets the job done.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Over all pretty good with one minor problem. I was considering to buy a GitzoGT1545T Traveler. But when I went to B&H to give a try, I found out the demo Gitzo tripod in the store was broken. The last section of one leg fell off. That turned me off. I don't think that's a $700 tripod should look like. So I went for my second choice which is this Induro CLT104. Over all I'm satisfied with this tripod. The pros in other reviews are all true. I once put a 10 pound bag on the hook plus 5 pound camera on top, it held sturdy. I would give it a 4-5 stars if not for the one problem I have with it. The bubble level on the tripod is not parallel with plate for the head. So when the bubble level on the tripod says it's leveled, the ballhead is not. It won't be a big problem until you start panning. The bubble level on the tripod is totally useless. What makes it worse is, I believe, that they assemble the tripod use that bubble level as the guideline. So even if the ground is perfectly leveled, when i extend the legs to its natural length, the bubble level is centered but the tripod head plate is not. It shows this tripod is not precisely made as it should be. I'm considering to buy a level base next. But that will add at least half pound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfect I used the Website filter to decide on which tripod I wanted filtering by priority first. Started with Folded Length, then maximum height, weight, minimum height, etc. When it came down to what was left the Induro CLT 104 was all that was left in my price range. The filter process worked for me because I find the tripod to be about perfect for my needs.
