    Induro CLT204 reviews

CLT204 Classic Series 2 Stealth Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Light! This tripod is so light for being so big. I am 6 feet tall (1.8 meters) and it is the perfect height without the center column. Extending the legs is smooth and I have had little to no problems with them jamming or slightly sticking. The only thing about this tripod I don't like is the grips on all three legs are loose at the bottom and move around. I assume they can be removed if they become too bothersome. The carrying case is of good quality and I love the included optional spiked feet as well as the short center column. Nice touches induro!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really pleased with this tripod The fit, finish and performance of this tripod at this price point merit serious consideration. While I would have loved a Gitzo Mountaineer with similar specs, on sale this was a third of the cost. It is certainly not a third of the Gitzo in terms of quality. It is definitely as stable. Put the money you save toward a good ballhead, and you'll have a lightweight and capable setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tripod I've only used the tripod a few times but really like it. I also own the GIT304 which is more substantial. I wanted something a little lighter for hiking and travel. The tripod seems very well made, sturdy, fairly lightweight (3.6#s). I especially like that Induro includes a short column, very nice case and tool kit in it's own bag. I'll see how it holds up over time but for now I'm very pleased with the quality of the tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and Steadily I bought this CLT204 as a replacement of another Mfr.'s series 2 Carbon Fiber tripod. Load Capacity is 2.5 times up, even though weight is 20% less than ever. Using in extracting the legs at max, still my Pro DSLR with 500mm is hold in steadily and stiff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product! I have been considering a carbon fiber tripod for over a year. I have spent countless hours researching, reading reviews, and watching videos. At every turn, it seemed that Gitzo was the way to go. I just couldn't fathom their extraordinary prices though. I have no issue paying for quality, but I do have an issue paying for a name brand. I came upon the Induro brand via a YouTube video. I was intrigued. I started reading about Induro, and found quite a few reviews of the products, all very positive. As I was finalizing my decision, Induro started marketing their new Classic Series Stealth Line. Being a new line, there was no review information available. Knowing B&H for their great customer service and return policies, I opted to order the CLT204. I had a difficult time deciding if I wanted 4 leg sections, or 3. Considering most of my work is outside and I travel, I opted for the 4 section to save some height when folded. When I received the product, I was shocked at how light the shipping box was. I frantically tore open the packaging, and opened the Induro box to unveil my new purchase. This thing is beautiful! The fit and finish of the parts, and the finish of the carbon fiber is unbelievable. And did I mention it is light? The product comes in a very nice carrying bag, and includes the tool kit and both spiked feet and rubber feet. The ONLY complaint I have, is that swapping out the feet will take a few minutes, as the use of the tool kit is required. Reviewers of other Induro products have stated that the Gitzo style feet will fit the Induro tripods, which simply twist to expose the spikes. I need to look into this. When reading the description of this tripod on both B&H and Induro, I kept seeing that the tripod comes with the Short column. Actually, it comes fitted with the standard column and INCLUDES the short column. This was a great surprise. ALl literature states that to expand and collapse the legs requires a half turn of the twist locks. Nope, it only takes a quarter turn. To test the stability, I placed my Canon 7DmkII with Tamron 150-00 om the tripod, fully extended, and combined with my AcraTech GV2, this was stable as could be. Don't be impressed, or fooled, by the more expensive tripods. You can't go wrong with the Induro line. And, simply be registering the product on-line, the warranty is extended to 10 years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tripod! I have started at a new job and am buying video equipment in this new role. I used an Induro tripod for years in my previous job and loved it. This tripod is good and has many of the features that I want and love about the Induro tripod I had previously - light weight, sturdy, expandable to a useful height, collapsable such that it is easy to store and pack, twistable knobs so that I don't pinch my fingers. However, I find that the tripod is a bit sticky as I try to expand and collapse it, which is not the experience I had with the previous iteration that I owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod This tripod is awesome. I bought it with the 61.4 height and it's perfect. You can replace the central column by a smaller one which is included in the package. This allows you to put the tripod at ground level. It's solid and it's not heavy. I truly recommend it. The CLT204 (or 404, etc) are perfect with the BHD2. The work by the photographer Andrew Studer (and my goals to improve my work) made me choose this tripod & ballhead. http ://www.indurogear.com/team/andrew-studer.aspx Thanks to B&H for the very fast delivery to France ! =) Odin B.
