JBL SRX815 Reviews
JBL Passive over Powered
By Joseroile
Rated 5 out of 5
Date: 2025-11-25
Based on the specs, I selected the passive SRX815 over the powered SRX815 due to its superior frequency response of 41Hz compared to the powered model's 44Hz. This speaker is precisely what I require for my sound system.

Can I connect a subwoofer to the speakers ...
Can I connect a subwoofer to the speakers directly
Thks
No. The JBL SRX815 15" Two-Way Bass Reflex Passive System is a passive speaker, so it needs to be connected to a power amplifier. Depending on the subwoofer you select, if it is passive, it will also need to be connected to a power amp, while an active speaker has the amplifier built-in. If you are using a mixer, the mixer's output will connect to the input on the power amp(s) and the speakers will connect to the output from the power amps.
