The Wimberley Ground Spike is a specially designed screwdriver optimized for use as a ground stake. The spike is easily inserted in a variety of ground types, remains securely positioned and is easily removed. The shank is made of corrosion-resistant chrome-plated steel. The handle is made of cellulose acetate which is the standard for durability and long-life. The Ground Spike meets 2014 TSA guidelines for carry-on items.
Time and various conditions may affect the fit between the Ground Spike and Extension Tube. Therefore the spike has been designed with an adjustment screw sothat a snug but not excessively tight fit can be achieved. This adjustmentcan be made with a standard slotted head screwdriver. If you have multiple GroundSpikes you can use the tip of another spike to adjust the screw.
