Fitbit FB405 overview

  • 1Description

Track your activity levels, sleep patterns, and heart rate data with the small Charge HR Wristband in black from Fitbit. This wrist-worn activity monitor tracks how many steps you take, your distance traveled, calories burned, floors climbed, and how many minutes you stay active. Thanks to its onboard PurePulse technology, the Charge HR also provides continuous and automatic heart rate data. You can use this heart rate data to monitor your intensity, analyze the effectiveness of your activities, maximize your workouts, and more—all without the need of an additional heart rate chest strap or accessory.

The Charge HR houses an OLED display that lets you see your progress in real-time throughout the day. In addition to activity tracking and heart rate data, the Charge HR is built with Caller ID, so you can see your incoming calls when your phone is nearby. Additionally, it features sleep tracking capabilities and is equipped with a silent vibrating alarm to help you wake peacefully. You can sync your stats wirelessly to compatible mobile devices and computers. Simply download the fitbit app to sync with a smartphone, which is available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices. The Charge HR's built-in rechargeable battery lasts up to 5 days before needing to recharge.

    Fitbit FB405 reviews

Charge HR Activity, Heart Rate + Sleep Wristband (Small, Black) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good, but HR far for precise. I bought the Charge HR mainly to get HR and Sleep monitoring. It happens that those are the two weak points of the device. In the app, sleep monitoring stats are weak! It doesn't tell your sleep phases, how many sleep cycles you had, etc, only how much time you were restless during the night. Vague. The HR is faaar faaar from precise. Don't even bother going to the gym with it. When doing heavy cardio it would measure my HR as 110, 115... When it should be 160/170... Crazy. And I have already tried every tip from the manual, leaving the strap loose, 3 fingers distance from the fist bone... Nothing! The other functions are fine, and the app has some nice competition stuff to stimulate you to go out and move a bit. Battery's been lasting for 4 days of continuous use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes me more conscious of health issues I really like the heart rate tracking and that it categorizes and quantifies the activity levels for me. I also appreciate the sleep activity tracking because it lets me see how much sleep I'm actually getting and the quality of sleep. I've read reviews that the heart rate monitor isn't accurate, and I'm no expert, but it seems to work for me - i.e. it goes up when i'm active & down when i'm not & is in the range of what's considered normal. :) Since I've had trouble with both sleep and not enough activeness, this tracker makes me face facts and is motivating me to make healthier choices.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't Fit Everybody This may be capable of doing what Fitbit claims. I wasn't able to test because, despite ordering the small, it is far too large to fit my adult wrist. My mistake for not just purchasing locally. Then I wouldn't have to pay for return shipping.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from HR not accurate Good for cardio, not for weights workouts

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not accurate. I was hoping to have an accurate step count, however this Fitbit does not count the steps accurately when running on the treadmill.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from FitBit OK, but battery not so much The fitbit seems to work as advertised. However, the battery life is stated to last 5 days. We are only getting 2-3.
