The Freedom Car Mount System from Matthews Studio Equipment allows you to mount a heavier cinema camera on a car, truck, boat, or other nonporous surfaces. It supports loads up to 80 lb and features an array of Matthews grip components to provide the necessary materials for a secure car rig.
Matthews has assembled this mounting hardware kit as an expandable platform for crafting complex but safe vehicle-based camera rigs. The lynchpin of the Freedom system is a 10" vacuum cup equipped with a 360° rotating grip head. This grip head then accepts two parallel Matthews Ricky Rods, modular 5/8" rods with 1/2"-13 threads to accommodate rigs large and small; eight 10" pieces and two right angle segments of Ricky Rod are included. From there, use the additional vacuum cups and grip heads to precisely position the swivel head camera mount, which features a standard hole pattern with holes and slots to mount cameras directly or using your dovetail slide plate. All the Freedom Car Mount system grip heads carry Matthews's standard large and easy-to-grip T-handles.

Great mount make sure the mount does not ship upside down

I bought this and i love it to death! However matthews did a huge recall on the swivel plate (the part the camera sits on) because they were welded upside down. I thought i was going crazy because no tripod screw or anything would fit through the plate. If this happens to you just call Matthews they shipped me another plate free of charge. Just wanted to warn anyone of this problem hopefully it has been fixed. Other than that, its an amazing piece of equipment.

Why does the one picture with all the parts show more parts than you will receive? There are two gobo heads shown that are not listed in the "In the Box" section.

The Kit comes with two 2.5" grip heads attached to Ricky Rods and two loose 2.5" Quick Heads. The photo is correct, the "In The Box" is missing the two 2.5" grip heads.

Hi, I ordered the Mathews Freedom Mount System as a special order on September 15. I need this item to arrive no later than October 21 as I travel International on October 22nd. The status for the item continues to read processing I would like to get a gauge on the item or cancel altogether
