I use L-Brackets or other plates to mount my cameras on my tripods, so I though this would be a great way to mount my Leicas. I put it on my M6 & quickly realized I couldn't leave it on the camera all of the time. The square corners stick out from the bottom of the camera on the right side, which makes it difficult to handhold the camera comfortably. Would I recommend this to someone who wants to quickly mount their Leica to a tripod? I'm not sure. Because you have to mount it each time you want to use it, it's not very quick. However, when mounted on the camera it works like it should.

It sure does. In fact, I carried two Leicas plus 3 lenses and filters on and batteries on the top.
