The AEL1512E from Ibanez is a full-size 12-string acoustic/electric guitar made from a combination of spruce, maple, and mahogany in a transparent blue sunburst high-gloss finish. The guitar's large, single-cutaway body delivers a powerful, expansive, and balanced acoustic sound. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band.
The AEL1512 features a spruce top, maple back and sides, and a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard and chrome die-cast tuners. The instrument's body has an attractive high-gloss finish, and the back of the neck has a smooth, satin finish for added comfort while playing.
For electronics, the guitar is equipped with an Ibanez undersaddle pickup and SPT Shape Shifter preamp, which includes controls for volume, treble, middle, bass, shape, and phase, along with an onboard tuner. The system is powered by two AA batteries. The AEL1512E comes set up with D'Addario EXP36 Coated 80/20 Bronze, light-gauge (.010-.047) strings for 12-string guitar.
