I bought one and I could not release the screw in the end where you attach the camera. I tried so hard but couldn't. Is it the same on every parapet mount or was mine just faulty?
Hikvision by far has the worst documentation/support... I spent 30 min on the phone with them describing this exact same issue until they transferred me to sales, and then the same runaround and to email technical support... They claimed this was not compatible with my dome PTZ camera, but it is in fact a universal fit with the adapter. I bought the gray one, so I did not see where the adapter fit in. Thanks for answering this obvious but deceiving question for others in the future.

Yes it is a 1.5" pipe thread but you need to have the pendant cap for the camera to mount.
