Lucas Burnley designed the CRKT Squid Folding Knife as a scaled-down full-featured tactical knife, that can be carried where larger knives are unable to go. By keeping the blade wide at nearly one inch and using the drop-point style, Burnley was able to give it a good balance of tip strength and point geometry for utility tasks, and packed all the functionality of a full-size tactical folder into an easy to carry compact design.
This EDC cutting tool features 2Cr13 stainless steel construction throughout with a matte satin stonewash finish for a sleek look with reduced reflectivity. The blade is manually opened using the dual ambidextrous thumbstuds, and when the blade is fully deployed, a beefy frame lock moves into place the safe and secure use. The handle has a comfortable finger groove for a better grip, jimping on the blade's spine for your thumb, a tip-up right-hand deep-carry clip, and an external lanyard mount. With a closed length of 2.2" and weighing in at a mere 3.4oz, the Squid fits nicely in most pockets without adding extra bulk.
