Alaska fishing guide Russ Kommer designed the CRKT Big Eddy Fillet Knife with a different grind on each side of the blade. The 420J2 stainless steel blade has a hollow grind on the topside and a flat grind on the bottom. This combination allows fish fillets to lift and float off the topside, while the bottom side is gliding and not digging into the skin. The serrations make quick work of bones and gristle.
The glass filled nylon handle has a textured rubber overlay that provides grip even when wet. This construction ensures longevity and provides temperature-resistance so it is able to maintain a comfortable feel even in cold and wet conditions. The handle also features a lanyard so it won't fall if you release your grip. An injected molded nylon sheath protects the blade, and you, when not in use.
