When space is at a premium, you can still enjoy the benefits of a full-sized fillet knife with CRKT's Clark Fork Folding Fillet Knife. Designed by Ken Steigerwalt, it uses an ingenious handle tail that covers and protects the tip of the knife and part of the blade when closed and locks into place so the knife won't open accidentally. To use, pull the tail down, extend the blade, and fold the tail into the handle. This not only moves the tail out of the way, the tail then acts as a blade lock.
The glass-filled nylon handle is full-sized to accommodate your entire hand with a slip-resistant grip and a forefinger groove for better control while working. The top of the handle has a wide opening to make it easier to clean dirt, blood, offal and detritus that will inevitably get into the handle while working on animals and fish.
