CRKT No Time Off Folding Knife

Designed by Brazilian knife maker Flavio Ikoma, CRKT's No Time Off Folding Knife features two of Flavio's trademark systems: The IKBS opening and ILS lock safety systems. IKBS utilizes a ball bearing pivot system to smoothly deploy blade. When the blade protrusion is pressed, the bearings allow the blade to open quickly and smoothly without having to flick the wrist as with other knives. Once the blade is open, a familiar liner lock moves into place.

While liner locks are often reliable, under extreme conditions they have been known to slip. It is for this reason that the Ikoma Locking System (ILS) was developed. When the liner lock engages, a lever automatically sets a pin between the frame and liner. This helps prevent the liner from slipping down the blade ramp, and gives the user an extra layer of safety when debris such as lint, dirt and grease gunk up the locking liner.

This folder was designed as a EDC tool for mechanics and shop workers - and its blade and handle design reflects this. The wide 3" long full-edged modified drop point blade is versatile and beefy, with a forefinger groove in front of the handle and jimping on the spine to comfortably rest your thumb. Deep textures and finger grooves along handle, coupled with an ergonomic downward slant provides a slip-resistant, comfortable, and secure grip. The handle is made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon that is strong and durable, resistant to corrosion, and maintains a comfortable temperature in cold or wet conditions. With a closed length of 4.3" and weighing 5.9oz, this utilitarian folding knife can be comfortably carried in most pockets without adding excessive bulk or weight.
