The Fototec Lenses have an adjusting lens tint and transmission in response to the amount of direct sunlight. In bright light, microscopic particles embedded in the lenses react to UV rays, darkening the optic and reducing the amount of light reaching your eyes. When worn in the shade or cloudy weather, these particles return to their original state, allowing more light and improving visibility.
