Hasselblad 1100271 Overview

Sporting a petite pancake profile, the LF 16mm f/2.8 Lens from Hasselblad is a wide-angle prime designed for APS-C-format E-mount mirrorless cameras. This 24mm equivalent lens features a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture to help control focus position and better enable working in low-light conditions. Additionally, an internal focusing design is employed to maintain the sleek profile of the lens during use, which also contributes to fast focusing speeds and quiet operation to suit both stills and video use.

Wide-angle prime 16mm lens provides a 24mm equivalent focal length with APS-C-format image sensors.
Bright f/2.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and also contributes to using selective focus techniques.
One aspherical element reduces aberrations and distortions for sharper, clearer image quality.
The lens' sleek pancake design measures 0.9"-thick and weighs 2.4 oz, making it an ideal everyday lens for walk-around shooting.
Internal focusing design only moves the middle elements for changing focus, which maintains the overall length of the lens during use, quickens focusing speeds, and helps to achieve a minimum focusing distance of 9.4". Additionally, the front filter ring of the lens does not rotate during use to better enable working with circular polarizers and graduated ND filters.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm creates a pleasing out-of-focus quality with shallow depth of field imagery.

question

Can I use this lens on Sony A6000?
Asked by: Anonymous
I keep this on my A6000 most of the time because it makes the camera nice and portable and is a decently fast and sharp lens. This lens is wayyyy better than the 16-50mm kit lens. I don't mind that it's wide because I can always crop the image or get closer to the subject as needed.

question

Is there an adapter available for use on any Canon cameras?
Asked by: Tim
No. The flange distance is much smaller on E-Mount cameras than it is on Canon or Nikon DSLR, so it is difficult if not impossible to adapt E-Mount lenses to EF/EF-S.

question

What will this do if put on a full-frame A7?
Asked by: Anonymous
There is a plastic plate on the back of the lens held on with some small screws that you can (carefully) remove. Best to use a small screwdriver. Once you take it off it will give more coverage for the full frame sensor on the A7 (you need to turn off the crop mode), but will still not cover the whole frame. It will give you an interesting fish-eye type effect, however the edges are very blurred. Remember it is an aps-c lens. I tried this before I sold my NEX-5 with the lens when I got my A7. I wouldn't buy the lens just to do this though. Try looking for a full frame wide angle lens, it will give you much better results.

question

The heading says 16mm, but the product description says 24mm. Which length is this lens?
Asked by: erin g.
Focal length is 16mm. However, if you were to compare this lens to a full frame (35mm film equivalent camera) the field of view would be comparable to a 24mm focal length.
