This Windjammer for the Shure Motiv MV88+ & MV88 Digital Stereo Microphones is manufactured by Rycote and helps reduce handling noise, plosives, and the pickup of wind noise while helping to protect the microphone in the elements. The Windjammer is made to tailor fit the microphone and is strongly recommended when recording outside or indoors where HVAC noise might otherwise distort the signal.

The microphone comes with just the foam cover. I was recording outside on the windy day, even though I had the high Pass filter on in the app there was a lot of wind noise. Then on another occasion I used this windjammer cover, you put it over the foam cover, and it was windy out, and it greatly reduced or eliminated the wind noise.
This Rycote gets used on my MV88, it performs very well outdoors in the wind. I use it for Facebook Live streaming outdoor sunrises and sunsets. It has helped me level up. Just make sure you always use outdoors. Also be sure to use with Shure MV88, and their great Motive app for best performance.
