BenQ MW632ST overview

  • 1Description

Display a large image close to the screen with the BenQ MW632ST 3200-Lumen WXGA Short-Throw DLP Projector. It features a throw ratio of 0.72 - 0.87:1 to achieve this, increasing placement flexibility while reducing shadows on the screen. Its 13,000:1 contrast ratio is designed to enhance detail for sharper text, graphics, and video. The projector's connectivity options include VGA, S-video, composite, and HDMI video inputs, plus analog audio inputs, and VGA and analog audio outputs.

The MW632ST offers a built-in 10W speaker that will function even in standby mode, allowing the projector to also work as a speaker system. It is USB and RS-232 controllable, and includes an IR remote control for versatile manipulation options. In addition to the remote control, it also includes a VGA cable.

Short Throw Ratio Reduces Space Constraints and Disruptions
Having a short throw ratio gives you the freedom of achieving a large image with the projector only a short distance from the screen. This will allow you increased placement flexibility and a more efficient use of available space. It will also let you move freely without casting distracting shadows on the screen, or having the projector shine into your eyes during a presentation.
13,000:1 Contrast Ratio for Enhanced Detail
The 13,000:1 contrast ratio in the MW632ST helps produce clear images with fine detail for sharper, easier to read text, graphics, and video for more memorable presentations.
High Brightness
The 3200-lumen brightness of the BenQ MW632ST helps overcome most ambient light conditions to ensure your message will be seen clearly, even with the lights on.
VGA and Dual HDMI Ports
Compatible with today's digital sources, the MW632ST provides two HDMI ports to satisfy your digital connectivity needs as well as a VGA port for traditional analog sources.
Plug & Play and Enjoy Big Screen Fun from Your Android Devices
You can now share content from your favorite MHL-enabled devices on the big screen. The MHL functionality in the MW632ST allows you to display pictures, movies, and games from MHL-enabled Android devices to the big screen. The MHL/HDMI port will also charge your connected device.
1.5A USB Type-A Power Supply
Powering your peripheral devices, such as Chromecast or Roku Stick, is easy with the built-in power-enabled USB port, providing up to 1.5 amps of power to eliminate the need for external power connections.
Vertical Keystone Correction for Additional Placement Versatility
Vertical keystone correction provides the ability to correct keystone errors when the projector is placed off the vertical center of the screen. Designed for use during quick setup tabletop presentations.
Built-In 10W Speaker
The built-in 10W speaker is designed to provide amplification to ensure your message is clearly heard.
SmartEco Lamp Saving Technology
SmartEco mode is designed to use only the exact amount of lamp power a projector needs to deliver quality projection, with the added benefit of a reduced total cost of ownership, by extending the lamp life and lowering power consumption.
SmartEco Lamp
Within the SmartEco Lamp Saving Technology umbrella, Lamp Care mode offers a lamp life of up to 10,000 hours.
Eco Blank Mode
The Eco Blank feature allows users to blank or mute the projected image on the screen, affording privacy to search for files or documents while the desktop is not projected to the entire audience. When activated, Eco Blank automatically dims lamp power, therefore lowering total power consumption by up to 70%.
No Source Detected Mode
To avoid having the projector running at full lamp power without a connected image source, the No Source Detected feature lowers the projector's lamp brightness to 30% after the projector has remained unconnected to a display source for more than three minutes.
0.5W in Standby Mode
When inactive, the MW632ST keeps power consumption down to a minimum of 0.5W power, further lowering your total cost of ownership.
Blu-ray Full HD 3D Supported
BenQ MW632ST is built with DLP technology to support full 3D functionality, allowing users to create immersive viewing experiences. Simply add 3D glasses and 3D content from your 3D Blu-ray player, both sold separately.
Audio Pass Through
With the built-in speaker, the MW632ST can be used as an audio system when it's in standby mode, saving you the trouble as well as the extra budget for getting a separate audio system.
Colorific Technology for Enhanced Color
The MW632ST uses Colorific technology to optimize images for specific color balance effects for diverse applications such as presentations, movies, spreadsheets, and photographs.
Filter-Free Design
DLP Technology includes a filter-free engine design for confidence in long-lasting image quality and reduced TCO.
Sharp Clarity with Ultra Readability
Enabling a 96% fill factor, DLP Technology situates the pixel circuitry behind the pixel, thereby eliminating the thick, dark bezels around individual pixels, which diminish color and detail. A higher fill factor and less black border translate to noticeably smoother image quality. The MW632ST also features a 13,000:1 contrast ratio for enhanced rendering of small text, fine lines, and dark scene details. Blacks are deeper and overall image quality is more focused. Your presentations will be easily readable and effective.

    BenQ MW632ST reviews

    MW632ST 3200-Lumen WXGA Short-Throw DLP Projector is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD business projectors. We purchased 3 of these for corporate use by various people, in various locations - primarily training sessions etc. for small to mid size groups. They are bright enough, provide a good image quality with good contrast ratio for computer display, as well as high resolution and DLP for video display. The real key for us was the short throw distance. Many of our situations would find us with a projector almost in the middle of a room; and even if we went with a rear projection set-up we rarely had enough space to do it properly. This (obviously) allows for placement closer to walls and screens (which also helps with brightness). This projector also allows for some zoom function on the lens which is rare for a short-throw proj. as well as some keystone adjustment - both very good inclusions on this type of projector. If I have a negative comment it would be that they do not come with a case. It should be assumed that these are going to be used primarily as portable projectors for business. I suppose it would be a decent theater or conf room projector as well but there should be cases available as I'm sure most of us would pay an additional $20-30 for that option. (We did find Benq cases that fit and ordered them separately.) Bottom line: these are very good units - very useful, and a very strong value. I would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great projector at a good compact size I purchased this to use for quarterly sales meetings (up to 20 people) so that we don't have to pay rental fees for projectors each time. Good cost and great projection. I haven't had the chance to use all of the features yet, but great quality projection and ease of use and set up. It's relatively light (not less than my laptop, but for a projector) as I could travel with it. It's a bit clunky but hope to get a carrying case to make it a bit easier to travel with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice projector For home and office use, this is a good, bright projector. Small and portable. Easy to set up. I installed it on the underside of a staircase with a Chief mount for an art piece and it is performing well. I was initially disappointed not to use an HD projector, but this image was crisp and I was happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good choice for small projection mapping projects I used this projector in a projection mapped gallery installation. It is extremely bright- even in a gallery with plenty of lighting on other artwork, the projection was extremely visible. The throw is appropriate for mapping medium to large sized sculptural works within tight gallery spaces.
