The Vello wireless transmitter/receiver works fine with my Yongnuo YN-568EX TTL flash speedlight, so it should work with your model. However, beware that the Vello does NOT transmit TTL (through-the-lens) settings, so you'll have to manually adjust the flash if you change focal length. That fact is stated in the owner's manual, but is NOT stated on B&H's web site, which is unfortunate. Download & read the manual before you buy!!! I bought this thinking it was TTL compatible. If you need TTL (which you likely do!!).

I cannot get it to work on my sony a6000 with my Nissin i40. The flash fits on very tight but I cannot get it to fire in any of the manual modes.

Is this compatible with my Sony nex 6?
This receiver works with Sony compatible flashes which have the Multi-Interface Shoe. You would be better off getting the kit, which comes with the necessary transmitter to fit your NEX 6. That would be the Vello FreeWave Fusion Basic Wireless Flash Trigger System for Sony Cameras with (MIS) Multi Interface Shoe B&H # VEFWBS2.

I purchased the Fusion transmitter and receiver pair. I'm unable to state whether the Fusion receiver will work with a Nikon transmitter.
