Sit back and enjoy your favorite CDs with the Marantz CD6005 CD Player. It has a front-loading tray that will accept your CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. It even supports MP3 and WMA CD media. The CD6005 also has a USB port which will play back MP3, WMA, WAV, and AAC files, and can host iOS devices for playback. To enjoy your music privately, the CD player has a headphone output with volume control. The CD6005 has a two-line fluorescent display and includes an ergonomic remote control.
HDAM Technology
Instead of employing conventional IC-based op amp chips in the final audio output stage, the CD6005 features Marantz's HDAM-SA2 discrete component modules, which are designed to provide wide bandwidth, fast slew rate, low noise, and low distortion.
Reference Class D/A Conversion
The CD6005 features high resolution D/A conversion and is equipped with the reference class CS4398 D/A converter, which provides up to 192 kHz/24-bit resolution for optimum fidelity with high-resolution audio file types. To prevent interference with the analog audio output circuitry, the digital audio circuit block is housed in its own shielded subsection.
Discrete Headphone Amplifier
The all-discrete headphone amplifier is compatible with a wide range of headphone types, including low impedance models, and features a front panel adjustable volume control.
High Current Power Supply
For improved power stability to the various circuit blocks, the power supply employs high speed, high current Shottky Barrier Diodes in the AC-DC conversion circuit. The power supply is fitted with high current storage capacitors for a more stable DC supply to the mechanical and electrical sections.
Audio EX Function
For enhanced analog audio output fidelity, the Audio EX function lets you disable the front panel fluorescent display to minimize noise artifacts. You can also disable the digital audio outputs when listening via analog audio for even greater noise reduction.
Optical and Digital Coaxial Audio Outputs
For increased compatibility with digital audio amplifiers and decoders, the CD6005 is equipped with both optical and digital coaxial audio outputs.
Gold-Plated Audio Connectors
The audio connectors, along with the digital coaxial output connector, are all gold plated to ensure optimum signal transfer with no degradation.
System Remote Control
The supplied remote control features an ergonomic design, and can control the CD player as well as your connected iPod or iPhone.
Two-Line Fluorescent Display
The easy-to-read fluorescent display features clear alpha-numeric characters as well as a range of punctuation characters for instant readout of track titles, artist/album names, and other information. The CD6005 is also compatible with music discs that feature CD Text.
