About the Author
An internationally acclaimed photographer, Joe McNally has spent 30 years in the business and completed assignments in over 50 countries. The bulk of his work has been done for magazines, including Time, Sports Illustrated, and National Geographic. In the mid-1990s, McNally served as Life magazine's first staff photographer in 23 years. The industry veteran also has commercial assignments for Target, Nikon, Sony, and numerous other companies under his belt. Arguably his most notable project, Faces of Ground Zero - Giant Polaroid Collection became widely known as one of the most significant artistic responses to the World Trade Center tragedy. McNally is a recipient of the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award, and has also been honored by Pictures of the Year International, World Press Photo, The Art Directors Club, American Photo, Communication Arts, and Graphis. When he isn't shooting, he can often be found lecturing or teaching at workshops and seminars around the world.
