Bring forth delay tones ranging from vintage, analog bucket brigade to trippy, 8-bit lo-fi with DigiTech's Obscura Altered Delay Pedal. In all, the Obscura Altered Delay pedal features four different delay types; Analog, Tape, Lo-Fi, and Reverse. The Degrade knob can then be applied to alter each delay mode differently, depending on the selection. Analog emulates a classic bucket brigade delay circuit and using the Degrade knob increases aliasing and grit. Select the Tape delay type for a sound which resembles an analog tube-based tape delay, where the Degrade knob increases wow and flutter. The Lo-Fi mode imitates a vintage digital delay with limited digital bandwidth and low 8-bit sample rates. In Lo-Fi mode, the Degrade knob emulates the input channel clipping found on the emulated legacy delay hardware. Finally, the Reverse delay type removes the dry signal and instead plays back the repeats in reverse for an ethereal sound quality. In this mode, the Degrade knob adds tape saturation to the reversed sound. Using the Repeat/Hold feature, you can layer delays for trippy swirling sounds or gurgling repeats. For even more expansive sounds, the Obscura features stereo inputs and outputs.
