The Beast from UVI is a virtual instrument that brings back what was in 1975 the most desirable, but for most an unaffordable synthesizer/sampler. Using electronics developed for NASA, the instrument was unprecedented for its time, starting life as a highly expressive FM synthesizer that evolved into a comprehensive workstation through subsequent expansions. Its emergence was embraced by the likes of Frank Zappa, Chick Corea, Michael Jackson, Sting, Kraftwerk, Stevie Wonder, and Depeche Mode, among others.
