Rycote Windjammer Overview

The Mini Windjammer designed to fit over the 45/100 foam for large diaphragm condensers provides excellent wind isolation for capturing audio in high-wind environments. Made from high-quality synthetic fur specifically designed for wind isolation, easy-to-fit slip-on fur covers for use when recording outside with the built-in microphones found on portable cameras, external camera mics and handheld reporter microphones.

We operate a narrated tram ride, and the wind on our wireless headset, would cause the narration to go in and out, even with a foam wind protector on the mic. The windjammer has solved that problem. We have happy passengers again!

Hello, would this fit a Lewitt LCT 440 Pure microphone?

The Rycote Windjammer for 45/100 Foam for Large Diaphragm Condenser may fit on the Lewitt LCT 440 Pure, but we are not able to test it on the mic to be able to confirm this since the Windjammer is only available by special order (we don't have it in stock). The Windjammer is designed to fit over the Rycote 45/100 Large Diaphragm Mic Foam (B&H # RYLDM4510001).

The Rycote Windjammer for 45/100 Foam for Large Diaphragm Condenser, when used in conjunction with the Rycote 45/100 Large Diaphragm Mic Foam (B&H #RYLDM4510001) as intended, would be appropriate for use with an AKG c414 condenser microphone.

Hello, would this fit to a Neumann 89i respectively over the Neumann WS89? Alternatively do Rycote 45/100 Foam and Neumann WS89 have the same dimensions?

Yes, the Rycote Windjammer for 45/100 Foam for Large Diaphragm Condenser should, in theory, fit over the Neumann WS89 Foam Windscreen for U89. The Rycote 45/100 and Neumann WS89 appear quite similar in size.

This windscreen is designed to fit over the Rycote 45/100, which is a foam shield for 2.17" diameter mics. Since the Neumann U89i is 1.8" in diameter, this windscreen will be too large for the WS89.

The Rycote Windjammer #3 has a length of 430mm with a height of 125mm. This is designed to work with Rycote's WS3 windshield which has a total length of 370mm with end caps installed.

Which rycote fur windjammer will fit the Sennheiser MZW 60-1 Blimp Windscreen?

The Rycote and Sennheiser blimps are very similar but they are not identical. Part of the issue is where the pistol grips line up on the blimps, and of course the opening on the fur windjammers factor in the position of each pistol grip. There are no 100% guarantees Rycote and Sennheiser are interchangeable, but a Rycote equivalent t the MZW 60-1 would be the Windjammer #4 (B&H#RYWJ4).
