The DAC-100B 100mm Skeleton Clamp from Desmond is a 3.9" long solid aluminum clamp designed to accept most Arca-style quick release plates. The clamp features a native 3/8"-16 female thread and includes a 1/4"-20 adapter for mounting compatibility with most tripod heads and support rigs. It weighs only 4 oz - making it a virtually unnoticeable addition to any setup and includes a removable bubble level for your convenience. A 0 to 45° alignment scale has also been printed on to the top of the clamp to assist in proper gear placement and weight distribution.

The photo shows a countersunk hole for the 3/8" mount, leaving only a minimum thread depth. Is the 3/8 mount still secure?

The middle hole does have thread. That is how it attaches to my monopod.
