Designed for observation and digiscoping, Opticron's straight viewing IS 60 R ED 16-48x60 Spotting Scope includes a versatile and powerful 16-48x zoom eyepiece to provide views that range from wide vistas at low power to tight detail-orientated views at its highest power. Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and fully multicoated optics work together to improve contrast and overall brightness while delivering bright and sharp images with true color representation. The ED glass's ability to render true colors and eliminate halos makes this scope ideal for digiscoping to ensure you capture sharp images with accurate color.
Complementing its optical performance is a lightweight and durable ABS polycarbonate housing. In addition to being impact and corrosion-resistant, ABS is also temperature resistant. This means that it will resist the effects of temperature fluctuations which can cause the optics to move out of collimation over time and preventing the scope from being able to achieve a sharp focus. A rotating tripod collar allows users to place the eyepiece in the optimal orientation relative to the tripod for more comfortable viewing. Attached to the collar is a quick release shoe for compatible heads, with a 1/4"-20 mount to directly attach the scope to a tripod.
