The Gitzo GM2562T Series 2 Traveler Carbon Fiber Monopod is a 6-section support that can hold up to 39.7 lb of gear and weighs less than 1 lb. Fully extended it reaches 55.9" high and it folds down to 14.2" for transport. The monopod is constructed from Carbon eXact tubing for added strength and stiffness compared to the Carbon 6X tubes. Traveler G-lock is a pared-down version of Gitzo's G-lock, specifically designed for the Traveler series to reduce overall size.

This Gitzo Carbon Fiber Monopod is light, easy to use and is excellent. Using this Monopod has been so successful when photographing.
Chose this over Sirui because of rebate and it was a bit shorter; I wanted the smaller size. Mine does not wobble but the bottom leg does not inspire confidence, but its been trouble free. Compared to my Sirui tripod the Sirui is a bit smoother and I like the feel of the locks better. If you could live with the extra 1.5 of the Sirui I would recommend that one as a better value.
