Watson C-4E Overview

Offering an efficient charging/powering solution in a portable design, this Watson Pro Quad Position Li-Ion Charger provides simultaneous charging for up to four lithium-ion V-mount batteries and features a 4-pin XLR power output. It has a comfortable carry handle for easy transport, and an On/Off switch and LED status indicators for convenient management. This charger delivers 2.5A per channel when charging multiple batteries and the same when charging a single battery.

The 4-pin XLR power output can be used to power select cameras from an AC power outlet, and an XLR cable is included, giving you everything you need to make full use of this charger. The charger supports 100-240 VAC power input, so it can be used worldwide with the right plug adapters (sold separately).

I bought this charger simply based on my past positive experiences with Watson battery products. And this charger does not disappoint. Charges fast, and is great when I am shooting out of town and went through all 4 batteries -- I don't have to set an alarm in the middle of the night to swap batteries out on my old charger. I would've given 5 stars except for the gooey nature of the small rubber feet. I cradled the charger in my new pelican case only to discover that the rubber feet are leaving a sticky residue that doesn't come out.

The 4-pin XLR power output can be used to power select cameras from an AC power outlet. It will not allow you to draw power from batteries connected in the same way.

Yes, the Watson Pro Quad Position Li-Ion Simultaneous Battery Charger (Gold Mount) would be able to charge other brands of batteries. As long as they are Gold Mount batteries you will be able to charge other brand names with this charger. Also, Anton Bauer batteries may not charge with the Watson Charger.
