question

I'm looking for a light easy task video tripod for my Panasonic ag ac-160 -will this tripod do the job ?
Asked by: Ariel
Yes, that that tripod is fine. Most prefer that a tripod be as tall has themselves. Note that this tripod without a head gets to about 65.2 inches. And this is just the tripod so you will need a video head. There are some listed below that are very good.

11 lbs limit has me concerned. My setup is a D300s with battery pack and Sigma 150-600 plus a 2lb gimball. That puts me at around 9 pounds, without any added weight I might apply by my hands on the camera. Is that too much load for this setup?
Asked by: Robert
I haven't tested mine to it's limit however I would be leery of putting 9 lbs on fully extended legs. On non-extended legs it would hold 9 lbs easily.

A compatible quick release for this tripod (not ball head)?
Asked by: C
Typically you would need to put either a ball head or pan tilt head on a tripod. Using a tripod without a head counter intuitive. Please call in to get more clarification.
